After many years as an Assistant Superintendent I began to wonder if this was the right industry for me. I was a member of the GCSAA and my local Chapter but was not active in either, and frankly, I didn’t even know what these organizations were about. Then in 2013, I was fortunate enough to have a chance to attend my first Golf Industry Show. This was the turning point in my career. Attending the events, the classes and networking with people who had been at the same point in their career that I was, completely invigorated me. I returned to my course as a different person. I became active in my Chapter as soon as I got back. I also attained my position as Superintendent by the Fall of that year. I try to pay forward the fortunate turn of events that has led me to where I am today and I have found a true passion in serving the members of my Chapter in various capacities.
