When the Chesapeake Bay executive order was signed into law in 2009, I knew that several changes for golf course management in Virginia were going to soon become a reality. Having GCSAA lend ideas and advice was our best starting point. Because of the helpful resources they offered, this lead to the creation of our successful Virginia BMP program, the formation of the GCSAA Chesapeake Bay stakeholders group and the advancement of a 2011 Environmental Bill which passed into Virginia law. Working with such a great team of knowledgeable and caring professionals at GCSAA made these things possible. I’m now happy to see the efforts GCSAA puts forth to assist other states going through this same process.
